To join our Sowing the Seed What’s App community group send “Sowing the Seed” to 086 1649989

All are welcome to take part whether you’re an individual, a community group or a school. All you need is 2 square metres for a hat. But feel free to sow as large an area as you wish. We’re also on the look out for farmers who’d be up for sowing a field of oats for us to help harvest by hand in August. Do get in touch if you’re interested.

We’ll be organising communal sowing and harvesting days on local farms as well as many other events such as harvest dance, súgán chair & hens nest/egg basket, Mummers costumes workshops, Mummer Christmas events, parades, balls and lots more.

Round up your community to sow, grow, harvest, create and celebrate together.

The project is now in its 6th year and led by artists Edwina Guckian, Fionnuala Maxwell & Brian Mostyn and is supported by Áirc Damhsa Culture Club.
